Enchanted Palace -- Enchanted by Nature:

We are presently applying for the "Backyard Habitat Certification" through the "Canadian Wildlife Federation" as pesticides are not used on these premises, and wildlife is encourage to share these premises. Some of our regular visitors include hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and quails. Just outside the fence, but still part of the property, there the natural habitat is found, with evening visits from deer, and sometimes even black bears. In the evening, while sitting at the fire pit, if you look up you can even see bats flying back and forth, and you know that they're doing an excellent job of getting rid of the bugs.

You will find on our property a mixture of the natural trees of this area that include the Douglas maple, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, the majestic western red cedar, and even one big-leaf maple tree. Some of the fir trees have Virginia creepers growing up their trunks that turns an attractive rich red colour in the fall. The hummingbirds love to perch on these vines, waiting for their turn to feast at the hummingbird feeder. In the fall, the woodpeckers love to nibble on the seeds produced by the Virginia creeper.

Come to our nature-based retreat, relax, and once more become attuned to the preciousness and beauty of life and our environment.
